Welcome to About Us and Life with Val, a place for people who like practical ideas, honest conversations, and solutions that actually make sense in real life.
My name is Valerie, but I prefer Val. I am a proud wife, mom to two adult kids, dog mom to two, grandma to one grandpup, and somehow there are also chickens and a cat in the mix. I guess you could say I am an animal lover too. I have always believed that life works better when we can keep things simple, useful, and have a little fun along the way. Now, does that mean my life is simple? Absolutely not. Do I have all my ducks in a row? Heck no. Half the time, I don’t even remember where all the ducks are. Life can be chaotic and messy. It can be full of love and laughter one minute, then stress, tears, and feeling completely overwhelmed the next. Sometimes all of that happens before 11am. We are human. We are not perfect, we are all different and we do not all fit into the same mold.
Like a lot of people, I have spent years sorting through the internet trying to figure out what is real and what is just another shiny sight were they leave you to figure it out on your own. There are plenty of loud voices online telling us how easy everything is and how they have the perfect answer for everything with little to no results or nothing long lasting. This is not done here.
What I do have is real-life experience, a willingness to learn, and a desire to share the things I discover along the way and help as many people as I can who want to improve their situation. Most of us are simply trying to make smart choices for ourselves and our families while handling everything else life throws at us. We are working, raising families, paying bills, trying to take care of ourselves, and occasionally wondering what we walked into the room for.
This is a place where you can explore ideas, tools, products, opportunities, and resources that might make everyday life a little easier. Sometimes that means discovering a way to save money. Sometimes it means learning about wellness products or helpful services. Other times, it means looking at opportunities that could help create additional income or even grow into something more. And sometimes, we may just talk about life. You will find information about wellness products and health-focused tools that may help support better everyday habits and help people feel their best and recommendations, ideas, and resources here that caught my attention for a reason. If something shows up on this site, it is because I thought it was interesting, useful, worth learning more about, or something that might help someone else too.
Around here, you will find me saying my life is controlled chaos. You also will not find a lot of pressure, or big promises. What you will find is straight talk, realistic ideas, a little humor, and options you can explore at your own pace. I believe people are smart enough to look at information, ask questions, and decide what makes sense for their own lives.
Think of Life with Val as the online version of pulling up a chair on the porch and talking about whatever life happens to bring our way. One day that conversation might be about saving money. Another day it might be about wellness, business, making extra to full income, something useful I discovered, or one of those moments when life goes completely off the rails and all you can do is laugh.
